About Joe and Our Campaign

Joe wants to serve as your state representative for the 27th District because it’s all about Ohio — our neighborhoods, our families, and our future.  Republican primaries are a conversation about our shared values, and the decisions we make today will affect us for years to come.  We have to get it right.

Joe was born and raised in Anderson Township, and is a proud graduate of Turpin High School.  He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in criminal justice and AA in fire science.  Since graduation he has worked for fire departments, police departments, park systems, and even as a substitute teacher in schools here in the 27th District.  Joe now has a successful real estate career.

Joe met his beautiful wife, Claire — an Anderson High School graduate and public school teacher — in 2017.  They married in 2021.

Service matters to Joe.  As a proud Freemason and member of Norwood Lodge #576, Joe donates his time and capital to charities like the Children’s Dyslexia Center, Shriners Children’s Hospital, Leon M. Abbott Scholarship Fund, and more. Joe also serves in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary part time and is an active member on the Ault Park Board.

Joe began working on Republican campaigns more than half a decade ago, and recently helped lead an effort to pass an anti-corruption amendment to the Charter of the City of Cincinnati.

It’s all about Ohio!

It’s no small secret that Ohio is seen as middle of the pack and we lose out to other states in economic growth, new residents, and new businesses. Recent trends are in Ohio’s favor as businesses are taking a second look at our state, but we still have serious issues to tackle: corruption, human trafficking, opioids, and homelessness in our cities.

As Republicans, we control the governor’s mansion and legislature.  We have the power to fix this and put Ohio on a better path forward.  We need to stop allowing bureaucrats and corrupt special interests let Ohioans down.

An entire generation of elected officials in our state is either retiring, term-limited, or otherwise leaving public service.  We need a new generation of citizen legislators to step up, serve, and lead our state into the future.  More importantly, we as Republicans need young, fresh candidates who can carry our conservative values into the future and win.

Like you, I believe that conservative Republican values are the best way to deliver growth and prosperity to make people’s lives better.  Individual freedom and liberty are fundamental, full stop.

It is no small coincidence that states with some of the highest growth rates are run by Republicans.   Because it’s all about Ohio, our campaign is centered around four core tenants:

Public safety.  We must support law enforcement and protect our communities.  People deserve to feel safe at home, at work, and when they’re out.

Clean government. Recent indictments and scandals in the General Assembly remind us that Ohioans want and deserve ethical, open, and transparent government that isn’t beholden to special interests.

Education.  We must teach our children to be involved in their community and about the greatness of America.  This is the country that put a man on the moon, beat the Soviets, and has been a beacon of hope and freedom for millions seeking it.  Our kids should know that.

Jobs and Economy.  This pandemic has taught us that we must support small businesses and not shut them down.  Business — especially small business — is the lifeblood of a community and its economy.  If we do not continue to pursue pro-growth policies, our state will lose out.  Ohioans deserve a prosperous and growing state so that people can achieve their full, God-given potential.
